The RocketRAID 1740 PCI SATA II RAID Controller is back-
ward compatible to RAID arrays created with HighPoint SATA I
RocketRAID 1640 controller. All RAID arrays created on the
RocketRAID 1640 can be moved over to the RocketRAID 1740
SATA II PCI RAID Controller and RAID arrays can be expanded
with the new features available in the RocketRAID 1740 such
as Online Capacity Expansion and Online RAID Level Migration.
