– To connect a COMfortel headset from Auerswald or another cable-con-

nected headset, you require: an adapter.

Note: The adapter can be bought in the Internet shop distriCOM (see
www.districom.de).

Steps to Take

Insert the headset connector into the jack labelled with

on the lower

side of the telephone.

Guide the cable to the outside using the corresponding cable channel.

In order to use the headset for calls, headset operation must be enabled at
the end of commissioning (under Functions > Headset or via a function
key configured for the headset).

Assembling the Telephone

Requirements

– Existing connections in the immediate vicinity of where the telephone is

placed:

Output socket on the DSL router or an existing network mains outlet

For power supply via power plug: 230 V network mains outlet

Warning: Liquid entering the casing can cause life-threatening electric
shocks and damage or destroy the telephone.

Only operate the telephone in closed, dry rooms.

Attention: Mechanical stress and electro-magnetic fields can result in the
damage or destruction of the device or impairment of its functions.

Avoid mechanical loads (e.g. vibrations).

Avoid the proximity of devices which radiate electro-magnetic fields (for
example, radio sets, professional radio equipment, amateur radio
equipment, mobile phones, DECT systems, WLAN routers, etc.).

Do not expose the device to direct sunlight.

Protect the device from dirt, excessive dust, condensation, caustic
liquids, and steam.
