Replacing the lamp tubes/starter 
 
 
If you determine that your unit has a defective tube, you can replace it yourself. To do so, 
proceed as follows: 
 
WARNING: 
•  First switch off the unit and unplug it. 
•  Let the unit cool off. 
•  For safety reasons, do not remove any components or screws other than tho-
se specified below. 
•  Otherwise you are at risk of receiving an electric shock! In addition, failure to 
observe this regulation shall void the warranty! 
Lay the unit on a level surface.  
Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the 4 
screws on the rear side of the unit. 
 
Turn over the unit while holding on to the trans-
parent cover. 
 
Carefully remove the cover to replace the tube. 
 
Open the tube's two transparent retaining clips by 
pulling up on them. 
 
Carefully pull the tube up over the housing rim (1) 
and out of the housing, then sideways out of the 
frame (2). 
 
Insert the new tube by following these steps in re-
verse order.
