Fujitsu Technology Solutions UPS devices ensure
high-performance power supply protection for
systems and data, and thus provide reliable
protection against power failure, current
fluctuations and electrical interference. Fujitsu
Technology Solutions offers both line interactive
(VI) and online (VFI) devices with double
conversion technology in line with the UPS
classification according to IEC 62040-3. Capacities
of up to 20kVA provide the right power supply and
technology for all individual requirements.
The use of uninterruptible power supplies can
particularly benefit your company from a financial
viewpoint: Having to search for and restore lost
or damaged data after a power failure can cost a
great deal of time and money. In such incidents

Fujitsu Technology Solutions Line Interactive VI
(Voltage Independent) UPS-devices from APC have
accurate voltage regulation and offer a sinusoidal
waveform. They also have a SmartSlot interface
for the integration into SNMP-based network
management.
Another outstanding feature is the ability to
replace used or faulty batteries during ongoing
operation without any interruption.
These APC UPSs are available as pure rack or tower
devices, and as a convertible rack / tower.
Fujitsu Technology Solutions not only offers
customers a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty (parts
warranty) on the UPS and the batteries but also

optimal integration of the control software into
the network management solution ServerView
Suite. Support of the Windows / Linux and SOLARIS
operating systems and virtualization layers is
provided.
In contrast to VFI (Voltage and Frequency
Independent) online UPSs, the output frequency
for the VI UPSs depends on the appropriate
input value; output voltage is in contrast to the
VFD (Voltage and Frequency Dependent) offline
versions constant. A VFD UPS only protects against
power failure.
With the VI-UPS the DC/AC inverter is permanently
connected to the output of the UPS system.
During regular operations the charging current
for the battery flows via the inverter. If the AC
voltage fails, the battery takes on the supply of
any connected consumers. Due to the constant
connection of the inverter to the output the line-
interactive technology, on which the VI class is
based, is able to filter out any mains power faults.
