All GPIO registers must be accessed as double words. Unpredictable results will occur 
otherwise.

All memory mapped GPIO *_PAD_VAL’s must set Ienenb = 0 in order to read the 
pad_val of the GPIO. This applies to RO GPIOs as well.

vGPIO’s are virtual GPIO’s for use by software to generate interrupts. They are not tied 
to physical pins.

When a GPIO is selected via the IO USE_SEL, Memory accesses are denied (pconf0, 
pconf1 and pad_val).
