Integrating SAP DB/MaxDB and Data Protector

Set the 

TimeoutSuccess

 environment variable on the Cell Manager by 

running the following command:

util_cmd -putopt SAPDB <SAPDB_instance> TimeoutSuccess 1000

You can also set the 

TimeoutSuccess

 environment variable using the 

Data Protector GUI. Select the backup specification in the Scoping Pane, 
then right-click the SAP DB/MaxDB instance object in the Results Pane 
under the 

Source

 tab and select the 

Set Environment Variables

 from 

the pop-up menu.

In a cluster environment, the environment variable 

OB2BARHOSTNAME

 

must be defined as the virtual hostname before performing some 
procedures run from the command line (on the client). The 

OB2BARHOSTNAME

 variable is set as follows:

export OB2BARHOSTNAME=<virtual_hostname>

set OB2BARHOSTNAME=<virtual_hostname>
