hen you need to connect
full- or half-duplex async

computers and terminals,
choose the Async Fiber Optic
Mini Modem. A pair of these
modems can drive data over
multimode fiberoptic cable up
to 2 miles (more than 3 km) at
data rates up to 19.2 Kbps.

Special circuitry allows the

modem to operate without
external power, by deriving
ultra-low power from the DTE
data and control signals on the
interface.

Two models are available:

And you can configure the

modem for continuous or
controlled carrier to suit your
application.

Setting the modem for DCE

or DTE operation is a breeze,
too. Simply move the handy
DCE/DTE switch to the
desired position.

For proper operation,

remember that modems must
be used in pairs.
