SHORT-TERM/OVERNIGHT STORAGE
Shut-down
1. Lock the gun and reduce the pressure. Turn the
sprayer to prime A and shut it off. Unplug sprayer.
Leave the suction set in the paint. Refer to Pressure
Relief Procedure.

2. For latex materials only, pour 1/2 cup water slowly
on the top of the paint to prevent the paint from drying.
For other materials, seal the paint container with a
piece of plastic while the suction tube is still in the
paint. See Figure 33.

3. Wrap the spray gun (completely assembled) in a
damp cloth and place it in a plastic bag. Seal the bag
shut. See Figure 34.

CLEAN UP
4. Place the sprayer in a safe place out of the sun for
short-term storage.

1. Remove the gun from the plastic bag.
2. Stir the water into the paint for latex materials. Re-
move the seal from the paint bucket and stir the paint
for all other materials.

3. Check to be sure the sprayer is in the Prime A

position with the pressure completely reduced.
4. Plug sprayer in and turn on.
5. Turn the sprayer to Spray B and gradually increase
the pressure.
6. Test the sprayer on a practice piece and begin
spraying.
