When this unit is used in an environment with a SIP 
server, the address of the SIP server to be referenced by 
this unit and the SIP address of this unit should be 
registered. If password authentication is required for 
accessing the desired SIP server, it is also necessary to 
enter the password. Consult your system administrator for 
details.
The settings described in this section are not required if this unit 
is used in an environment without SIP server.

In the web menu, click “SIP Server”.
The “SIP Server” window appears.

In the “SIP Server” field, click “Enable”.

In the “SIP Server Name” field, enter the 
name or IP address of the SIP server.

If password authentication is required for 
accessing the desired SIP server, enter the 
authentication password for the SIP server in 
the “SIP URI Password” field.

In the “SIP URI” field, enter the SIP address 
to be set to this unit.
Enter the SIP address in the format
“sip:(sip address)”.
Example: sip:sipuser@yamaha.co.jp

Click “Submit”.
The setting is registered and the top window of the 
web menu reappears.
• To connect a call using the SIP server, the SIP address 
of this unit should be registered in the SIP server.
• It is not possible to establish a connection between a 
PJP unit that uses the SIP address and a PJP unit that 
uses the IP address.
• If the SIP server is installed outside the LAN, it is 
required to use the NAT transversal function (page 27) 
of this unit.
In this case, the following conditions are required.
• The router to which the PJP is connected supports the 
UPnP function.
• A global IP address is assigned to the WAN on the 
router side.
When a SIP call is connected using the NAT transversal function, 
it is not possible to install multiple PJP units in a single segment 
and connect a call between them.
