QUICK FIND® Alarm Origination/Location Feature
Quickly identifies the first alarm to sound in an interconnected system
Models MICN109 and MDSCN111
The Quick Find® feature will allow you to immediately locate the originating alarm (the alarm that
triggered the other alarms), once the alarms have stopped sounding.

1. Press and release the Test/Silence button on any alarm. After releasing the button, the test
sequence on this alarm will begin, and last approximately 5‐20 seconds.
2. Once this test sequence ends,
the originating alarm continues to sound for approximately 50
seconds, which provides ample time to locate the originating alarm.
3. Remember to reset the originating alarm in order to clear the Quick Find® and to return the
system to normal operation.
Reset Instructions
Press the Test/Silence button for approximately 10 seconds, or until the blue LED turns on, and then
release. This will clear the alarm latching LED’s and clear the alarm origination. Reset the system after
each alarm event.

In a non‐interconnected installation, it is necessary to test each alarm to determine the originating alarm.
