Setup

Media Settings)

Media Info

Displays information on the recording media, 

such as free space.

Format

Deletes all data on the recording media.

Repair Img. DB F.

Repairs the image database file on the internal 

recording media or a memory card.

File Number

Sets how to assign the file number.

Playback Settings)

Data Code

Displays the detailed recording data during 

playback.

Volume

Adjusts the volume during playback, and the 

volume for the headphones during recording.

Connection)

TV Type

Converts the output signal depending on the 

aspect ratio of the connected TV.

Component Output

Sets this when connecting your camcorder to a TV 

with a component input jack.

HDMI Resolution

Selects the type of signal output to a TV via the 

HDMI jack.

CTRL FOR HDMI

When connecting your camcorder to a “BRAVIA” 

Sync compatible TV with an HDMI cable 

(sold separately), you can play back movies on 

your camcorder by aiming the TV’s Remote 

Commander at the TV.

USB Connect

Uses a USB connection with the USB cable.

USB Connect Setting

Sets the USB transfer mode for connecting the 

camcorder to a computer or other USB device.

Disc Burn

Allows you to save images onto discs by a single 

press of a button.

Beep

Sets whether the camcorder sounds operation 

beeps or not.

LCD Brightness 

Adjusts the brightness of the LCD screen.

VF Brightness

Adjusts the brightness of the viewfinder.

Display Setting

Sets the duration that icons or indicators are 

displayed on the LCD screen.

REC Lamp

Turns off the recording lamp on the front of your 

camcorder.

Shooting w/o Lens

Sets whether or not to record images when there 

is no lens.

Remote Ctrl

Enables/disables use of the supplied Wireless 

Remote Commander.

A. Shut Off

Sets your camcorder to turn off automatically.

Language Setting

Selects the language to be used on the LCD screen.
