See page 43.
Frame Rate
You can select the frame rate to be used
to record high definition image quality
(HD) movies. For standard recording, [60i]
(NEX-VG30/VG30H) or [50i] (NEX-
VG30E/VG30EH) is recommended. Set
[
Frame Rate] first, before setting
[
REC Mode] (p. 43).
 60i (NEX-VG30/VG30H)
50i (NEX-VG30E/VG30EH)
For ordinary recording, this frame rate is
recommended.
60p (NEX-VG30/VG30H)
50p (NEX-VG30E/VG30EH)
This setting provides clearer images by
recording movies at twice the data volume
of 60i (NEX-VG30/VG30H)/50i (NEX-
VG30E/VG30EH). To play back a movie
recorded at this setting on a TV, a TV
capable of 60p (NEX-VG30/VG30H)/50p
(NEX-VG30E/VG30EH) movie playback
is required. If the TV is not compatible
with 60p (NEX-VG30/VG30H)/50p
(NEX-VG30E/VG30EH), the movie will
appear as a 60i (NEX-VG30/VG30H)/50i
(NEX-VG30E/VG30EH) movie.
24p (NEX-VG30/VG30H)
25p (NEX-VG30E/VG30EH)
This setting gives your movies a film-like
appearance.
Notes
The media that the recorded images can be
saved on will depend on the recording mode
that has been set during recording. For details,
see page 43.
Activate [24p Mode] when you shoot
24p movies on a PAL-based model
(NEX-VG30E/VG30EH).
Tips
Frame rate means the number of images that
are updated in a certain period of time.
