GENERAL OPERATION
Switching on and off
1.  Switch on the device from standby mode by pressing the >
ON/OFF< button.
2.  Press the >
ON/OFF< button again to switch the device to standby mode. 
Adjusting the volume
1.  Adjust the desired volume with the >
VOLUME< control dial.
Setting the brightness of the display backlight
1.  Repeatedly press the >
DIMMER< button to change the brightness of the display from High, Mid,  
 
Low or Off.
Notes: 
In addition, the Auto Dimmer function ensues that the brightness of display is adjusted automatically to 
suit the brightness of the surroundings.
Setting the colour of the display backlight
1.  Select the backlight colour (8 colours) by repeatedly pressing the >
COLOUR< button.
Listening with headphones or earphones
1.  Connect the headphone or earphone to the headphone jack (Ø3.5mm).
 
–This switches off the loudspeakers.
Warning: 
Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss.
 
RADIO MODE
For the best FM reception it is sufficient to align the wire antenna accordingly.
1.  Switch on the device from standby mode by pressing >
ON/OFF< button.
 
The last station listened is activated. If it is the first time to use the device, the radio station stored in  
 
Preset 1 is played.
2.  Select the stored preset stations with the >
 
PROG
 + 
< button.
Automatic station search
1.  Press and hold the > 
 TUNING   < button until the frequency display changes to rapid run-  
 
through forwards or backwards.
 
The search stops when a station is found.
Manual station search
1.  Press the > 
 TUNING   < button briefly to move the frequency up or down in 50 kHz steps.
Storing stations as presets
A maximum of 20 stations can be stored in the presets.
1.  Tune to the station you want to store.
2.  Press the >
MEM/TIME< button to activate the memory function
3.  Press the >
 
PROG
 + 
< button to select the desired preset number.
4.  Press the >
MEM/TIME< button again to store the station.
5.  To store more stations, repeat Step 2 to 4.
Notes: 
If stations are already stored in the presets, they are overwritten when new stations are stored.
If the device is disconnected from the mains, all saved stations will be deleted unless you have inserted 
back-up batteries.
Switching the display
1.  In radio mode, switch the display between the time/day and frequency/station name by pressing the  
 >
DISPLAY< button.
