If You Don’t Have An Internet/E-mail Account

Glossary Of Terms
DNS
The Domain Name System (DNS) is an Internet service that translates domain
(or ‘host’) names into IP addresses. Domain names are alphabetic but the Inter-
net is based on numeric IP addresses. Therefore when a domain name is used, a
DNS service must translate the name into the corresponding IP address. For
example, the domain name www.psionteklogix.com might translate into the IP
address 194.129.243.153.
