Precautions for installation work
Safety precautions for installation work
Take safety against falling objects or personnel.
•
Make sure to turn off the power of the product and of any devices, such as a center module,
•
before connection to the product. Failure to observe this may cause electric shock.
Ascertain that other safety controls are implemented as well to ensure that the work is carried
•
out safely and reliably.
Do not install the product using mounting fixtures that were deformed due to damage suffered
•
during transport or installation, or on a damaged outer wall. This could cause the product to
fall.
Tightening of screws and bolts
Tighten screws and bolts to the specified torque. Do not overtighten screws and bolts.
•
Overtightening will damage the thread and cause the product to fall. If the torque is too low, on
the other hand, screws and bolts will be loose.
Use a torque driver or torque wrench to maintain the specified torque.
•
The range of use of torque drivers and torque wrenches is limited. Choose a torque driver or
•
torque wrench suitable for the recommended torque value.
Do not use impact drivers or powered screwdrivers as these may damage the screws or bolts.
•
When tightening a screw or bolt, make it at a right angle to the surface. After tightening the
•
screws or bolts, check visually for looseness.
