4.12 Procedure for lowering the movable tray
The movable tray can be lowered by releasing its driving gear without disassembling the finisher.
(1) Open the stationary tray.

(2) While the movable tray is held with your 
hand, insert the screwdriver in the hole-A on 
the rear cover.
Notes: 
• Be sure to hold the movable tray with 
your hands because it may fall when the 
screwdriver is pushed.
• Use a screwdriver with a diameter of 8 
mm or less.
Remark: 
Since the insertion of the screwdriver has 
released the driving gear of the movable tray, 
it can now be lowered. If the screwdriver is 
taken out, the movable tray will stop in that 
particular position.

(3) The movable tray can be moved upward 
without being released by the screwdriver.
Note: 
Be sure that the movable tray does not stay 
above its paper-full sensor. If printing is per-
formed with the sensor turned ON, "Movable 
tray paper-full detection error" (CB31) will 
occur. The movable tray must be moved 
lower than the sensor.
