3.8 Servo Motor with Electromagnetic Brake
(1) Setting
Using parameter No.33 (electromagnetic brake sequence output), set a time delay from electromagnetic
brake operation to base circuit shut-off as in the timing chart shown in (2) in this section.
(2) Operation timing
(a) Servo on signal command (from controller) ON/OFF
Tb after the servo-on signal is switched off, the base circuit is shut off and the servo motor coasts.
The following chart shows the way of holding the motor shaft in vertical lift applications.
・  Adjust Tb (parameter No. 33) to minimize a drop after the servo-on signal is switched off.
・  Switch off the servo-on signal after the servo motor has stopped.
