3. OPERATION

 

12. Use the Omnipad to choose the baud rate of the equipment connected and 

then press the [ENT] key. 

13. INTERVAL is selected; press the [ENT] key.

14. Use the Omnipad to choose appropriate output interval and then press the 

[ENT] key. 

15. Choose IEC VERSION and then press the [ENT] key.

16. Choose appropriate IEC (or NMEA) edition and then press the [ENT] key. 
17. Choose HDG TALKER and then press the [ENT] key.

18. Choose appropriate heading talker and then press the [ENT] key. If an 

external gyrocompass is used, choose HC. 

GP: GPS navigator 
HE: North-seeking gyrocompass 
HN: Non-north seeking gyrocompass 
HC: Gyrocompass 

19. Press the [DISP] key to close the menu, or press the [MENU] key several 

times to return to the I/O SETUP menu to setup another output port.
