Continental's 317C transmitter is a 50 kW AM 
broadcast transmitter designed for continuous 
operation in the demanding commercial broadcast 
market.  Its field-proven design offers excellent 
performance with high overall efficiency, increased 
reliability and easy maintainability. 
 

 
 

 
Introduction: 
In an effort to better serve their 
customers, Continental teamed with 
Comet to identify replacement 
capacitors for the Continental Type 
317C Transmitters.   
 
Scope: 
Continental was interested in 
continued support of existing 
installations.   
 
Application: 
Continental has verified these 
replacements and begun replacing 
failed capacitors in the field.   
 
Responsibilities: 
Since difference can occur over time 
in specific installations, it is always 
recommended to verify replacements
