In some cases the MV 4440 cannot be power-cycled, and the mode must 
be changed while the vPOD is hot-plugged. Perform the following 
procedure.

Select a mode.

Set the mode number with the M

 switch located on the 

vPOD. See Figure 5-3. Use a pointed object (such as pen tip) to press 
the desired button at the M

 switch.

Insert the vPOD into the MV 4440.

As soon as the OK LED illuminates, press and hold the M

 

button (see a description of the button on 

Keep holding down the M

 button until two beeps are heard.

Release the M

 button.
