TrafficDescriptor

Use TrafficDescriptor to manage the templates that describe traffic characteristics of a VC (virtual circuit) that are used 
in the creation of PVCs (permanent virtual circuits. A traffic descriptor is a list of parameters that specify the 
characteristics of a PVC ATM connection. Each descriptor is defined from a specific combination of parameters.

Traffic class type.

[TrafficDescriptorType]

Numerical description of traffic class, which 
integrates predefined values for three traffic 
descriptor variables—end-to-end timing 
requirements, traffic type, and broadband bearer 
class. See table “Traffic Descriptor Defining Entry 
Combinations” for full details.

[TrafficDescriptorIndex]

Traffic descriptor index number for deletion.

[PCRCLP01]

PCR (peak cell rate) of cells with their CLP (cell 
loss priority) bit is equal to one. Specifies the 
maximum rate at which cells can be transmitted 
over a VC.
