Turn the Rotary encoder to select a speaker to
be set.

Press the 1 (TIME ; DN) or 2 (TIME UP :) to
adjust the time revision value.

Press 3 (0°) or 4 (180°) to switch phase.

Repeat steps 9 to 11 to adjust other channels.

Press 7 (RETURN) to return to the previous
display.
• When the speaker is set to the “OFF” mode, the TCR for that
speaker cannot be set. Refer to “Setting the Speakers” (page 44).
Graphic Equalizer Adjustments
The graphic equalizer allows you to modify the sound using 31 bands
each for the front (left and right), rear (left and right) and center
speakers. An additional 10 bands are available for the subwoofer. This
allows you to customize the sound to suit your taste.

Check that the Defeat mode is off.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select "G.EQ
(Graphic EQ)".
The Function Guide changes.

Press 2 (ON), then press 3 (SETUP L/R) or 4
(SETUP L+R).
G.EQ adjustment display appears.
L/R: Different adjustment values can be set for the left
and right channels.
L+R: Sets the same adjustment values for the left and
right channels.
When you do not adjust it, set to OFF.

Press the function button of your desired speaker
(channel).
The Function Guide changes.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select a frequency to
be adjusted.

Press 1 (LEVEL; DN) or 2 (LEVEL UP :) to
adjust the level.
Press 7 (RETURN) to return to the Function Guide in
step 6.

Repeat steps 6 to 8 to adjust other frequencies.
• When the speaker is set to the “OFF” mode, the graphic equalizer
for that speaker cannot be set. Refer to “Setting the Speakers”
(page 45).
• Check the playable frequency ranges of the connected speakers
before making the equalizer adjustments. If the speaker’s playable
frequency range is 55 Hz to 30 kHz, for example, adjusting the 40
Hz or 20 Hz band has no effect. Additionally, you may overload
and damage the speakers.
• When graphic EQ is adjusted, the adjustment for parametric EQ
becomes ineffective.
Parametric Equalizer Adjustments
The frequency bands of the graphic equalizer are fixed. This makes it
very difficult to correct for undesired peaks and dips at specific
frequencies. The parametric equalizer’s center frequency can be tuned
to these specific frequencies. Then, the bandwidth (Q) and level are
fine-tuned, independently, to make the necessary corrections. The
parametric equalizer function is an advanced tool for serious
audiophiles.

Press the function button to adjust as follows.
FREQ. ;DN or UP :: Selects the frequency.
LEVEL ;DN or UP :: Adjusts the level.
WIDTH ;DN or UP :: Adjust the band width.
Press RETURN to return to the function guide in step 6.

Repeat steps 6 to 8 to adjust other bands.
• When the speaker is set to the “OFF” mode, the parametric
equalizer for that speaker cannot be set. Refer to “Setting the
Speakers” (page 45).
• It is not possible to adjust the frequencies of adjacent bands within
7 steps.
