Bosch batteries are warranted to be of merchantable
quality and fit for the purpose for which they are
designed and ordinarily used, and free under normal
use and service from faults and defects in material
and manufacturing.
The Bosch Battery Warranty is backed by a nationwide
distribution network that means you and your customers
will receive the back-up service and product
replacement they need, when you need it. It’s simple:
Should any battery be found faulty under the standard
battery test outlined in this catalogue, due to faulty
workmanship or materials, within the warranty period
specified on the battery warranty label, it will be
replaced by Century Yuasa Batteries Pty Ltd, or one of
its approved representatives, free of charge for a battery
of the same type.
This warranty is in addition to any conditions of
warranties imposed or implied by any laws enforced
in Australia.
It is a condition of this warranty that the sale receipt for
the battery must be surrendered as proof of purchase
when a claim is lodged, otherwise Century Yuasa
Batteries retains the right to use the stamped supply
date code on the battery terminal to determine age and
length of service. This warranty is void if the battery fails
due to after sales damage, neglect or incorrect use.
The Bosch Battery
Nationwide Warranty
Before you issue a new battery under warranty the
following standard battery test procedures must be
adhered to. You may find that some warranty claims
are nothing more than flat batteries.
• Check battery has not been damaged or abused
after shipment from the supplier.
• Make sure battery container, cover terminals, vent
plugs or clamp ledges are not broken.
The Warranty
Procedure Checklist
• Test if battery has become defective as a result of
overcharging or undercharging due to faulty vehicle
electrical system.
• Make sure battery fluid level has not dropped below top
of separators. Then check the specific gravity of the
battery fluid with a hydrometer to test if the battery is
simply flat and can possibly be recharged.
• Ensure codes and markings on battery terminals have
not been tampered with.
• Check that a battery of smaller capacity than the
minimum original equipment specification has not
been used.
• Check proof of purchase to ensure battery is still within
the warranty period. If satisfied all of the above are in
order, fit free of charge battery. Keep old battery for
checks by the Century Yuasa Representative. Help the
Century Representative with claim documentation
as requested.
