To prevent personal injury or property damage, read and follow all instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be 
followed including the following: 
•  Read all instructions, including these important safeguards and the care and use 
instructions in this manual. 
•  Do not use appliance for other than intended use. 
•  The use of accessory attachments not recommended by West Bend® 
Housewares may cause injuries. 
•  Keep hands and utensils away from the cutting blade while chopping food to 
reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to food chopper.  A scraper 
may be used but only when the food chopper is not running. 
•  Blade is sharp.  Handle carefully. 
•  To reduce the risk of injury, never place the cutting blade on base without first 
putting bowl properly in place. 
•  Always be sure cover is securely locked in place before operating appliance. 
•  Do not attempt to defeat the cover interlock mechanism. 
•  Always avoid contacting moving parts. 
•  Do not operate when the appliance is not working properly or when it has been 
damaged in any manner.  For service information see warranty page. 
•  Do not attempt to repair this appliance yourself.

to avoid pulling, tripping or entanglement.
