Use the following procedure to remove the main battery:

Confirm that the following backup battery power warning has not 
been displayed on the Power screen under Settings. If the warning has 
been displayed, charge the backup battery until the warning 
disappears.

Press the Power button to turn the device off.

While holding down the battery cover (A), slide it forward while 
pressing the release button (B).

Slide the battery cover until the cover comes out of the guides, and 
then lift and remove the cover.
