 Replace the grease filter, making sure
that the locking clip is facing down
towards the cooktop.
 If the filters have been installed
incorrectly, you can insert a small
screwdriver into the slit to disengage
the locking clip.
Resetting the filter saturation
counter for the grease filters
Once cleaning is complete, the filter
saturation counter must be reset.
 While the fan is turned on, press the
filter saturation indicator  for
approx. 3 seconds until 1 is the only
indicator flashing.
The grease filter symbol  goes out.
When cleaning the grease filters before
the full operating time has elapsed:
 Press the filter saturation indicator

 for approx. 6 seconds until 1 is
the only indicator flashing.
OdorFree Charcoal Filter
If the hood is connected for
recirculation, an OdorFree Charcoal
Filter must be inserted in addition to the
grease filter. This is designed to absorb
cooking odors. 
It is fitted in the canopy above the
grease filter.
OdorFree Charcoal Filters are available
from your Miele dealer or from Miele
Service. See "Technical data" for the
type and reference number.
Installing/replacing the OdorFree
Charcoal Filter
 To install or replace the OdorFree
Charcoal Filter, the grease filters must
first be removed as described above.
 Remove the filter from its packaging.
 Press the filter into the frame.
 Replace the grease filter.
 When installing the filter for the first
time, activate the filter saturation
counter (see "Operation").
