Replacing the Optical Drive

Procedure

1

Slide the optical drive into the drive cage.

2

Align the screw holes on the optical drive with the screw holes on the drive cage.

3

Replace the screws that secure the optical drive to the drive cage. 

Postrequisites

1

Replace the drive cage. See "Replacing the Drive Cage" on page 28.

Replace the front bezel. See "Replacing the Front Bezel" on page 25.

Replace the fan shroud. See "Replacing the Fan Shroud" on page 15.

4

Replace the computer cover. See "Replacing the Computer Cover" on page 13.
