Set. 
CONNECT THE VONAGE BOX
 TO YOUR 
ROUTER OR MODEM/ROUTER:
 
Connect the Vonage Ethernet cable to the blue Ethernet port 
on the back of the Vonage Box
 and connect the other end 
into an open Ethernet (LAN) port on the back of your router or 
modem/router.
  Connect the Vonage Power Supply to the orange power port 
on the back of the Vonage Box
 and plug the other end into 
the power source.
  Wait for the Telephone LED on top of the Vonage Box
 to turn 
blue. (The Telephone LED   blinks slowly if you have any 
voicemail messages.) 
  Connect your existing phone cord to the green phone port 1 
 on the back of the Vonage Box.
 If you are interested in 
using your existing home wiring with Vonage service, please 
consult 
www.vonage.com/wiring for further information.
  Optionally connect your existing Ethernet cable from your 
computer to the yellow Ethernet port on the back of the 
Vonage Box.
  The Computer LED   turns blue.
CONNECT THE VONAGE BOX
 TO YOUR DSL OR CABLE MODEM:
  Power down your modem and computer.
  Remove your existing Ethernet cable from the back of your 
modem and connect it to the yellow Ethernet port on the back 
of the Vonage Box.

Leave the other end in your computer.
  Connect the Vonage Ethernet cable to the Ethernet (LAN) port 
on your modem and connect the other end of this cable to the 
blue Internet port on the back of the Vonage Box.
  Power up your modem and wait until it is completely back up.
  Connect the Vonage Power Supply to the orange power port 
on the back of the Vonage Box
 and plug the other end into 
the power source.
  Wait for the Telephone LED on top of the Vonage Box
 to turn 
blue. (The Telephone LED   blinks slowly if you have any 
voicemail messages.) 
  Power up your computer.
  Connect your existing phone cord to the green phone port 1 
 on the back of the Vonage Box.

•  If you purchased your Vonage Box

to activate your Vonage phone service if you didn’t do so at the 
store. Go to 
www.vonage.com/activate and follow the easy steps.

USE YOUR VONAGE PHONE SERVICE:
  Pick up your telephone handset.
  Listen for a dial tone.
  Place a call.

To access the Web UI of the Vonage Box™:
•  Connect your PC to the yellow Ethernet port on the Vonage Box™
•  Open your Web browser
•  Type in 
V-Confi gure.com
•  Enter 
“router” in both the Username and Password fi elds
•  Click the 
Go button 
NOTE: An Internet connection is not needed to access this interface.
