For the CD Changer Controller
For ease of use, you can mount the sup-
plied CD changer controller on the dash-
board using the supplied hook-and-loop
fastening tape.
Note: When you choose a mounting
area for the controller, make sure it is
close enough to the Audio Adapter’s
mounting area so the controller’s cord
will reach the Audio Adapter. The con-
troller’s cord is about 5 feet (152 cm)
long.
REMOVING THE
TRANSPORT SCREWS
The transport screws help protect the
CD changer from damage during ship-
ment.
Before you mount the CD changer, use
a small screwdriver to remove the three
transport screws from the bottom of the
CD changer.
Note: If you do not remove the shipping
screws from the CD changer, the chang-
er will not operate.
Save the shipping screws in case you
might want to install the CD changer in
another vehicle. You can secure them to
the back of the CD changer with a piece
of tape.
INSTALLING THE
REMOTE CONTROL’S
BATTERIES
Your infrared remote control requires 2
AA batteries (not supplied) for power.
For the best performance and longest
life, we recommend RadioShack alka-
line batteries.
Cautions:
• Use only fresh batteries of the
required size and recommended
type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries,
different types of batteries  (stan-
dard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or
rechargeable batteries of  different
capacities.
