1 Manual – Retain this manual for future reference.
Warning: Nerf Duel Play Swords are designed to create an immersive experience when playing sword-
fighting games on the Nintendo Wii. They are not designed for physical striking of objects, people, or
animals. Such action may damage the Swords, Sports Handle, Wii Remote, objects, persons, or animals. Do
not poke or jab at people or animals. Use away from breakable objects, and always use the wrist strap that
came with your Wii Remote (see your Wii Remote or Wii MotionPlus instruction manuals for more details on
use of your wrist straps).
Nerf Duel Play Swords serve as an extension of the Wii Remote, and are designed to enhance the Wii game
playing experience by creating a more realistic game play perception.  Caution should be used when playing
with the Nerf Duel Play Swords. PDP recommends that you follow at least the same strict safety precautions
outlined in the Wii Operations Manual that came with your Wii Remote/system, including consistent use of
the wrist strap, not letting go of the Wii Remote during game play, and allowing adequate swinging distance
between the Wii Remote and surrounding objects and other people.  Because the Nerf Duel Play Swords
extend the length of the Wii Remote’s swing arc, extra caution should be exercised when using the Nerf Duel
Play Swords: Use of these appendages increases the required safety swinging arc zone; people and fragile
objects should be kept at a safe distance; the Nerf Duel Play Swords are designed for controlled, indoor
use, and are not designed to withstand the force as might be employed with real apparatuses.  Only limited
force should be used when swinging the Wii Remote with the Nerf Duel Play Sword attachments to keep the
attachments from breaking loose from their housings.
Please Note: The Nerf Sports Handle for Wii and the Nerf Duel Play Sword attachments are designed only to
be used with a Silicon Jacket protective grip for Wii Remotes. Nintendo provides such Silicon Jackets with all
Nintendo Wii Remotes and Nintendo MotionPlus Wii Remote add-ons. If you have lost your Silicon Jacket,
contact PDP Customer Support at (800) 331-3844. Do not use the Nerf Sports Handle and Nerf Duel Play
Swords without a Silicon Jacket installed.
Using the Nerf Sports Handle for Wii:
1) Insert Wii Remote into Nerf Sports Handle for Wii. Wii Remote should fit snuggly in the Sports Handle with
the Wii Remote’s Camera Port facing the Sports Handle’s Attachment-Head
.

2) Insert Wii Remote and Sports Handle into Silicon Jacket or Nintendo MotionPlus Silicon Jacket. Slide
Sports Handle through the largest opening in the Silicon Jacket until the Sports Handle Attachment-Head
reaches the Camera Port opening in the Silicon Jacket.
3) Stretch Silicon Jacket Camera Port opening around the Sports Handle Attachment-Head until the
Attachment-Head extends through the Camera Port opening and out of the Silicon Jacket.

4) Pull the Silicon Jacket over the remainder of the Sports Handle. Be sure to feed the Wii Remote’s Safety
Lanyard through the Silicon Jacket. If MotionPlus Silicon Jacket is to be used, first feed Safety Lanyard
through the appropriate slit in the MotionPlus Silicon Jacket. Then pull MotionPlus add-on over the rear of
    the Wii Remote.

5) If using MotionPlus Silicon Jacket, ensure MotionPlus connects firmly to Wii Remote. Check to be sure no
Silicon Jacket material is pinched between MotionPlus and Wii Remote. Then engage MotionPlus Locking
    Switch.
Attaching Nerf Duel Play Swords
1) Align Sports Handle Attachment-Head with the Locking Collar of Nerf Duel Play Sword. Ensure Arrow
Marker on Locking Collar is facing you.
