HDCU-950 IMM

Adjust the level of the VBS signal output from the unit
using the color bar signal.
Use the switch on the EN-145 board (HKCU-951) and the
control on the panel of the unit for adjustment.

1.

Check the switch S107-3 on the EN-145 board to OFF.
Factory setting : OFF

2.

Press the BARS button of the MSU-700A/750, RCP-
700 series, etc. to display the color bars on the wave-
form or vector monitor.

Set the VBS LEVEL and the VBS SYNC control on
the EN-145 board panel to their mechanical center.
Then adjust RV201 (VBS GAIN) and RV204 (SYNC)
in the EN-145 board so that the color bar signal has the
specified amplitude.
Measurement point : VBS OUT connector on the

HDCU rear panel

Specifications :

A = 100 

±1 IRE [for NTSC]

A = 700 

±7 mV p-p [for PAL]

(VBS LEVEL control)
B = 40.0 

±0.4 IRE [for NTSC]

B = 300 

±3 mV p-p [for PAL]

(VBS SYNC control)

Adjust the VBS CHROMA control on the EN-145 board
panel until every spots of the color bar signal fall into the
specified locations “

4” on vectorscope.
