You need modify OpenBoot only if you use Fibre Channel HBAs.
The procedure for modifying OpenBoot depends on your HBAs.

Set up a new alias for your new boot disk. At the

your_alias
your_device and press

nvstore

to store your new boot name.

change the boot device to the new alias.
