 True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack add-on is the latest addition to the 

Acronis family of backup and recovery products. This optional module for Acronis 

True Image Home 2010 features enhancements for advanced home users, including 

the  flexibility  to  restore  files,  applications  and  an  operating  system  to  dissimilar 

hardware  should  they  want  to,  or  have  to  replace  their  existing  PC  or  laptop. 

The  solution  also  provides  support  for  dynamic  disks  and  Microsoft

®

  Windows 

Preinstallation Environments (WinPE).
These  three  powerful  features,  originally  only  available  in  the  Acronis  corporate 

product line, are now accessible to technical home users.  The optional Acronis True 

Image  Home  2010  Plus  Pack  integrates  seamlessly  within  the  Acronis True  Image 

Home 2010 standard version*, and leverages its intuitive graphical interface.

 In the event that users want to replace their machine, or if it has accidentally been 

destroyed  or  stolen,  they  should  be  confident  that  they  can  recover  their  backup 

image to a different computer. With Acronis True Image Home 2010 and Acronis True 

Image Home 2010 Plus Pack, they can easily restore their backup onto a new machine 

regardless of the make, model, or installed components.
Indeed,  the  Acronis  Universal  Restore  feature  allows  users  to  recover  an  entire 

PC or laptop to dissimilar physical hardware or even to a virtual machine. It takes 

the last clean image from the original machine and imports the drivers associated 

with  the  new  machine  into  the  restore  process.  In  addition,  because  the  backup 

image is captured at the disk sector level, it already includes all the configurations, 

applications, and files, eliminating the tedious re-install process. Please note, the 

transfer of the Microsoft operating system onto a new machine has to comply with 

Microsoft’s license regulations.

Dynamic disks have many advantages, including  multi-partition and fault tolerant 

volumes as well as easy partition size adjustment. With Acronis True Image Home 

2010 Plus Pack, backup and restore of dynamic volumes becomes easy, allowing 

users to take advantage of Windows dynamic disks.
Users  can  restore  dynamic  volumes  onto  bare-metal  disks  or  to  already  created 

dynamic disks. The restore can take place within a running Windows operating system 

as well as from Acronis True Image Home 2010 bootable media. In addition, dynamic 

disks operations will be available in recovery mode already, so that users can lay out 

disks and partitions as they wish prior to the restoration of dynamic volumes.
