INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new appliance, 
please read this user guide carefully before 
using it for the first time. Take particular
note of the safety precautions. We also 
recommend that you keep the instructions 
for future reference, so that you can remind 
yourself of the functions of your appliance.
SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the appliance
•  Incorrect use of this appliance may
cause personal injury and damage.
•  Use for its intended purpose only. The
manufacturer is not responsible for 
any injury or damage resulting from
incorrect use or handling (see also 
Guarantee Terms).
•  For domestic use only. Not for outdoor
or commercial use.
•  For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only.
•  Use only accompanying accessories
or those recommended by the 
manufacturer.
•  Do not submerge in water or any other
liquid.
•  Keep the appliance under constant
supervision while in use. Keep an eye
on children.
•  Always place the appliance on a level,
stable surface safely away from the 
edge of the counter or table.
•  Only turn on the appliance when:
      o   The plastic bowl is in place 
      o   The plastic bowl contains foodstuffs 
           or liquid 
      o   One of the two blades and the lid 
are fitted correctly.
•  The appliance is equipped with a safety
switch, which automatically cuts off 
the power to the motor if the lid is not 
correctly fitted.
•  Never pour boiling liquids or extremely
hot foodstuffs into the plastic bowl. 
Make sure that any foodstuffs or liquids 
are not too hot or cold to handle.
•  Do not use the plastic bowl or the lids if
they are damaged in any way.
•  Never put tools or your hands into the
bowl while the appliance is turned on. 
Please note that the blade may still 
rotate for a while after you switch the 
appliance off.
•  Be careful not to touch the sharp
edges of the blades when cleaning or 
assembling the appliance.
Cord, plug and mains socket
•  Do not allow the cord to hang over
the edge of a table/counter, and keep 
it away from hot objects and the hot
surfaces of the appliance.
•  Check that it is not possible to pull or
trip over the cord or any extension cord. 
•  Remove the plug from the socket when
cleaning, or when not in use. Avoid
pulling the cord when removing the 
plug from the socket. Instead, hold the 
plug.
•  The cord must not be twisted or wound
around the apparatus.
•  Check regularly that neither the cord
nor plug is damaged and do not use if 
there is any damage, or if it has been 
dropped on the floor, dropped in water
or damaged in any other way. 
•  If the apparatus or plug is damaged,
it must be inspected and if necessary, 
repaired by an authorised repair 
engineer, otherwise there is a risk of 
electric shock. Never try to repair the
appliance yourself. Please contact 
the store where you bought the 
apparatus for repairs under guarantee. 
Unauthorised repairs or modifications
will invalidate the guarantee.
