Hardware Overview
System LEDs
The system LEDs, located on the back panel, provide information about the 
power supplies, thermal conditions, and diagnostics.
Table 3-21 shows the System LED definitions for the N3000 series switches.

A link is present.

A critical system error has occurred.

A noncritical system error occurred (fan or power 
supply failure).

There is no power or the switch has experienced a

Power to the switch is on.
Blinking green
The switch locator function is enabled.
Fan
Solid green
The fan is powered and is operating at the expected 
RPM.
Solid red
A fan failure has occurred.
Stack 
master
Off
The switch is in stand-alone mode.
Solid green
The switch is master for the stack.
Temp
Solid green
The switch is operating below the threshold 
temperature.
Solid red
The switch temperature exceeds the threshold of 75°C.
