Configuring Port and System Security

The following example shows how to configure the example shown in 

1 Configure the RADIUS server IP address and shared secret (

secret).

console#configure

console(config)#radius-server host 10.10.10.10

console(Config-radius)#exit

console(config)#radius-server key secret

console(config)#exit

2 Enable 802.1X port-based access control on the switch.

console(config)#dot1x system-auth-control

3 Configure ports 9 and 24 to be in the Authorized state, which allows the 

devices to connect to these ports to access the switch services without 

authentication. 

console(config)#interface range Gi1/0/9,Gi1/0/24
