The following subsections describe how to remove or install hard-disk drive carriers in
the storage system's drive bays.

The three light-emitting diode (LED) indicators at the top of the hard-disk drive carriers
provide information on the status of the hard-disk drives. The storage system firm-
ware controls the drive online and drive fault indicators, while the drive itself usually
controls the activity indicator.
