S-Registers (ATSn=x)
Certain modem parameters are stored in memory
locations called S-Registers. Use the
locations called S-Registers. Use the
S command
to read or alter the contents of S-Registers.
S0= 0-255
S0 sets the number of the rings required before the
modem automatically answers a call. Set “S0=0” to
disable auto-answer mode. The factory default
setting is 0.

S1counts the incoming rings and stores the value to
this register. The value of this register is
incremented with each ring. If no rings occur over an
