describes the items in the POS SONET tab.
Table 11   POS SONET tab items
Item
Description
SonetFraming
Sets the framing for the port to:
SONET—Synchronous Optical Network format;
standard format used in North America (default)
SDH—Synchronous Digital Hierarchy clock
format; standard format used in Europe.
SonetOperStatusFraming
Operational value of SONET framing.
SonetSectionTrace
Sets the integer that the section trace flag (j0) is set
to, that is an integer between 1 and 255.
SonetOperStatusSectionTrace
Operational value of SonetSectionTrace.
SonetOperStatusPathSignalLabel
Operational value of Path Signal Label.
SonetClockSource
Sets the Clock Source to either line or internal.
SonetOperStatusClockSource
Operational value of ClockSource.
SonetScramble
Parameter that enables or disables the scrambling
option.
SonetOperStatusScramble
Operational value of SonetScramble.
SonetMedium
MediumType
Identifies whether a SONET or a SDH signal is
used across this interface.
MediumTimeElapsed
Number of seconds, including partial seconds, that
have elapsed since the beginning of the current
measurement period. If, for some reason, such as
an adjustment in the system’s time-of-day clock, the
current interval exceeds the maximum value, the
agent will return the maximum value.
MediumValidIntervals
Number of previous 15-minute intervals for which
data was collected.
MediumLineCoding
Line coding for this interface. The Non-Return to
Zero (NRZ) line coding is used for optical SONET/
SDH signals.
MediumLineType
Line type for this interface. The line types are single
mode fiber or multimode fiber interfaces.
MediumCircuitIdentifier
Transmission vendor’s circuit identifier, for the
purpose of facilitating troubleshooting. Note that the
circuit identifier, if available, is also represented by
ifPhysAddress.
