You can gain better results by manually adjusting
the focus in the following cases. Normally, focus
is automatically adjusted.
•The autofocus mode is not effective when

shooting
– subjects through glass coated with water

droplets

– horizontal stripes
– subjects with little contrast with backgrounds

such as walls and sky

•When you want to change the focus from a

subject in the foreground to a subject in the
background

•Shooting a stationary subject when using a

tripod

Press FOCUS lightly in CAMERA or
MEMORY (DCR-PC9E only) mode. The 9
indicator appears.

Turn the focus ring to sharpen focus.

To return to the autofocus mode

Press FOCUS lightly to turn off 9, 

 or 

indicator.

Gewoonlijk zorgt de autofocus voor fraai scherpe
beelden. Soms echter kunt u betere
opnameresultaten bereiken door handmatig
scherp te stellen.
•Wanneer de autofocus niet goed werkt, bij het

opnemen van:
– onderwerpen achter matglas of beslagen

vensterglas

– onderwerpen met horizontale strepen
– onderwerpen met weinig tekening of

contrast – een wand, de lucht, enz.

•Wanneer u de scherpstelling wilt veranderen,

van een onderwerp op de voorgrond naar een
onderwerp op de achtergrond.

•Voor het opnemen van een stilstaand

onderwerp, met de camcorder op een statief.

Druk in de “CAMERA” of “MEMORY” stand
(alleen voor de DCR-PC9E) het FOCUS
knopje heel licht in. De 9 aanduiding
verschijnt.

Draai aan de scherpstelring tot u uw
onderwerp scherp in beeld hebt.

Terugkeren naar de automatische
scherpstelling

Druk licht op het FOCUS knopje zodat de 9, 
of    indicator uit beeld verdwijnt.
