Optimum settings are made automatically from information such as “face”, “movement”,
“brightness”, and “distance” just by pointing the camera at the subject, meaning that clear
pictures can be taken without the need to make settings manually.

About Backlight Compensation ( )
Backlight is a condition where a light shines from behind a subject. When there is
a backlight, the subject appears darker and the camera will automatically attempt
to correct it by increasing the brightness of the picture. Backlight compensation is
automatically activated in [Intelligent Auto] Mode. When the camera detects backlight,
is displayed on the LCD monitor (depending on the backlighting conditions,
backlighting may not be detected correctly).
