1 Types of time data
Note
When time data or user bits are not read correctly, a
“*” will be displayed in this block so that the symbols
become “T*R”, “U*R”, etc.
2 Time code reader drop frame marks
“ • ”: drop frame mode
“ : ”: non-drop frame mode
3 Time code generator drop frame marks
“ • ”: drop frame mode
“ : ”: non-drop frame mode
4 VITC data field marks
“    ”: (blank space) fields 1 and 3

5 Operation mode
The contents are divided into blocks A and B as shown
below.
A block indicates the operation mode.
B block indicates the tape speed or servo lock status.

To superimpose the characters representing time code
data and operation mode information on the output
signals, use the [F4] (PD CHARA) and [F6] (CHARA
SUPER) buttons.

By changing the 626.DISPLAY INFORMATION
select setting in the VTR SETUP menu, different types
of information can also be displayed on the second
line.
