Powering the GMRS-1500XTM Unit:
The GMRS-1500XTM unit operates on four AAA batteries installed in the battery com-
partment. You may operate the unit using type NiMH rechargeable batteries , or you
may use Alkaline batteries. Alkaline batteries will provide slightly better performance
than the rechargeable batteries. The rechargeable batteries can not be recharged
while in the unit.

Installing the Batteries:
Installing batteries in the GMRS-1500XTM unit is straightforward as shown in the
following illustration.

Remove unit from belt clip, and simply unlatch the cover clip at the bottom rear
of the unit; lift off the battery compartment cover.

Install four AAA batteries and carefully note battery polarity as marked within

When the last battery is installed in place, the self-test display will
