Input the 4-digit password by using 0–9,

then press ENTER.

The LOCKS menu displays.

Press ϵ/϶ to select 

 (LOCKS).

Press ϳ/ϴ. The password entering menu 

displays.

Press ϳ/ϴ to select “CAN ENG RATING”. 

Then press ϵ/϶ to select the desired rating.

Press TV MENU and the MENU screen 

displays.

Press EXIT to return to the normal screen.

Repeat steps 1 to 5 in Canadian English 

ratings.

Press ϳ/ϴ to select “CAN FRE RATING”. 

Then press ϵ/϶ to select the desired rating.

Press EXIT to return to the normal screen.

Press RETURN. The LOCKS menu 

displays.

Press ϳ/ϴ to select “V-CHIP”, then press 
ϵ/϶ to select “ON”.

Your setting are now set into memory.

•  If “V-CHIP” is not set to “ON”, the V-CHIP 

setting will not work.

Press ϳ/ϴ to select “V-CHIP SET”, then 

press ϵ/϶. The V-CHIP SET menu displays.

The V-CHIP block is working and censors a 

broadcast, “THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN BLOCKED!” 

displays.

You can reactivate the temporarily released V-CHIP 

block as shown below.

 

Change to the other channel.

Method 2:
 

Switch off the TV power.

•  Performing any of the two above will activate the V-CHIP 

block.

Press MUTE while the V-CHIP is working 

and then the password entering menu 

displays.

Enter your 4-digit password with 0–9, then

press ENTER.

At this time V-CHIP block temporarily 

releases.
