The Error Correction Mode (ECM) function may help
your fax machine improve communication in areas where
telephone line conditions are marginal.

Refer to “Problem Solving” for other suggestions if you
have communication problems.

Available settings are ON (default) and OFF.

The remote diagnostics feature allows a service person
remotely to dial and service your fax machine.

Available settings are ON and OFF (default).

This function is active only when the Multifunction
Printer Option is installed and your fax machine is set to
the PC Fax answering mode. In that case, incoming faxes
are saved directly to the PC’s disk without being printed.
If the PC is turned off or not functioning, the fax machine
acts as a stand-alone fax machine and prints incoming
faxes when this PC/FAX SWITCH function is set to ON
(default). If this function is set to OFF, the fax machine
does not accept incoming faxes when the PC is turned off
or not functioning.

When this function is set to ON, your fax machine
automatically receives and stores messages in its memory
when it is low on toner.  When this function is set to OFF,
messages print, even if toner is low or empty.

Available settings are ON and OFF.

Default is OFF.
