The recommended replacement for the existing Cisco IP Phone power cube (part number CP-PWR-CUBE) is the new Cisco IP Phone 

power cube (part number CP-PWR-CUBE-2). Table 3 compares key features in these products. The most significant new feature of the 

new Cisco IP Phone power cube is increased power to run the Cisco IP Phone 7970G color phone and cleaner power for any Cisco IP 

phone using a local power cube.
