Functions for specific subjects and purposes
Taking pictures automatically at set intervals  
[Time Lapse Shot]
Recording mode: 
You can preset data such as recording start time and time lapse to take still pictures 
automatically. This setting is convenient for taking pictures at constant intervals for 
landscape scenes, observation of the gradual changes in animals/plants, and other 
applications. The pictures are recorded as a single group picture 
. When [Time 
Lapse Video] in the [Playback] menu is used, you can create a motion picture. 
 •Complete the date and time settings in advance.

Set the menu
 → 
 [Rec] → [Time Lapse Shot]

Press     to select the item and press 
[MENU/SET]
[Start Time] [Now]
Starts the recording by fully-pressing the shutter button.
[Start Time 
Set]
Set the time to start recording. Any time up to 23 hours 
59 minutes ahead can be set.
Press     to select the item (hour and/or minute), 
and     to set the start time, and then press 
[MENU/SET]
[Shooting 
Interval] / 
[Image 
Count]
The recording interval and the number of pictures can be set.
   : Select the item (minute/second/number of pictures)
   : Setting
[MENU/SET]: Set
 •You can set the interval from 1 second to 99 minutes 59 seconds in 
1-second intervals.
 •You can set the number of pictures to be recorded from 1 picture to 9,999 
pictures.
 •Be sure to use an interval   setting that is longer than the exposure time 
(shutter speed)  . (Illustration below)
If the interval   setting is shorter than the exposure time (shutter speed)   
(e.g. recording at night), it may cause the recording to skip.
