Controls
Controls are graphic object elements of a Frame with which the user makes entries, defines
selections and activates Instructions.
For a detailed List of all Controls that are available in the DCO/Designer, please refer to Section
4.4, "Setup and application of the Layout window".
5.9.1
The use of Controls
The below table gives you an overview of the way in which the different Controls are used:
Attribute
Description
Static element
The "Static elements" are used to place info graphics and
texts, e.g. a floor plan or site map, and to add symbols repre-
senting specific Functions and titles.
Apart from the Static elements that can be added to the child
node "Controls" under the node "Frame", every "Button" child
node under the node "Controls" may have up to 4 own Static
elements that are stored under the parent node "Button", and
there in their respective "Static elements" child node.
Edit field
Use the "Edit field" to enter the numeric or alphanumeric val-
ues that are needed for the later operation , e.g. display texts
that shall be output to the alerted subscribers during broad-
casts.
Button
The Control "Button" is used to execute Functions triggered by
the user, e.g. to activate broadcasts in OScAR-Pro.
In addition to its attributes, every Buttons also has a child node
that is used to administrate the Functions that shall be execut-
ed when the Button is pressed.
Checkbox
The "Checkbox" is used for 'Yes/No/True/False' and 'Set/
Changed' arguments, e.g to define that the selected broad-
casts are started individually or together in form of a hunt
group.
Listbox
The "Listbox" is used to select an entry from a list of several
entries, e.g. to choose a specific announcement from the glob-
al List of all announcements that are currently available.
Entries in a Listbox can have different colors.
