1. INTRODUCTION
Making the most of the functions of the previously described MA-1650 standalone, the MA-1650 can be
developed into a master-satellite system.
By adding the IFU Board for Master-Satellite, a Batch-consolidation or Scanning system of a maximum of 16
terminals can be built. By connecting a PC (which requires another IFU board separately sold), the system can
also be expanded into a transaction data capture system.
Operational functions on each terminal ECR basically stay the same as on a standalone ECR, except those
deleted, changed, or added for this M/S system use which are described later.
