Dictation
This chapter provides an introduction to the basic functions of the Philips 9750 when used for dictation:
•  Recording a dictation
•  EOL (End-of-Letter) and Priority
•  Insert mode and Overwrite mode
•  Recording format (Standard Play/Long Play mobile)

Recording a dictation
The Philips 9750 enables you to create high-quality digital recordings when using the device in combination with
the Philips microphones LFH 276/10 or LFH 278/10. To record a dictation, do the following:
1.  On the Philips microphone LFH 276/10 press the REC button; the device goes into Record Standby mode
(blinking LED). To start recording, move the slider to the Play position ( ) and start dictating.
On the Philips microphone LFH 278/10 move the slider to the REC position and start dictating.
Note: The Philips microphones LFH 276/10 and LFH 278/10 provide two settings for the microphone
sensitivity:

•  The DICT setting should be used for recording in a normal environment.
•  The CONF setting should be used for recording at large gatherings.
